Born on May 14, 1947, in Berlin, Germany, the cute redhead Anne Wiazemsky is a mamorable maiden. She was married to Jean-Luc Godard for more than a decade, but she’s more than just a member of film royalty. Anne is real royalty, being the daughter of Ivan Vladimirovich, a French prince and count who emigrated to France after the Russian Revolution. Throughout Anne’s childhood, she moved all around the world to her father’s various postings in cities such as Geneva and Caracas. Eventually, she returned to Paris, and that’s where her acting career began to take flight. Anne made her onscreen debut when she was just eighteen years old. She played “Marie,” the leading role in Robert Bresson’s Au Hasard Balthazar (1966). The film premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it won several awards, including OCIC (International Catholic Organization for Cinema) Award, the San Giorgio Prize, and the New Cinema Award. Some critics still consider Au Hasard Balthazar one of the greatest films of all time.
